2009 Homecoming Dance Share
Hail, hail to the 2009 Homecoming King and Queen, Ryan Liss and Nicole Reyes! Manteno High School held its Homecoming Dance in the school's gymnasium on Saturday, October 17. The student council lavishly decorated the gym with stringed lights, candelabras and masks. This year's Homecoming theme was, ''Mystery Masquerade.'' The procession of the Homecoming Court attendants began at 9 p.m. and included: third grade attendants Ð Maggie Arseneau and Damion Carmickle; freshmen Ð Courtney Posing and Brett Gilbert; sophomores Ð Lauren Harnois and Conner Stroud; juniors Ð Haley Hatalla and Ethan Shores; 2008 Homecoming King and Queen Ð Steven LaCosse (Justin Emerson) and Brittany Stosiek; senior ladies Ð Ruthie Johnson, Nikki Martin, Allie Newsom, Aryn Newsom and Nicole Reyes; senior gentlemen Ð Alex Regets, Zach Polega, Kody Shields, Lucas Stroud and Ryan Liss. Following was the coronation of the King and Queen. Brittany Stosiek, the 2008 Homecoming Queen, crowned the new Queen Nicole Reyes and Justin Emerson, filling in for 2008 Homecoming King Steven LaCosse, crowned the new King Ryan Liss. Over 450 students danced the night away from 8 to 11 p.m. to an engaging mix of music by The Partymakers DJ Service.
