PHS Homecoming this weekend Share
Homecoming Week 2009 is underway at Peotone High School, with the annual Homecoming Parade set for Friday, October 2. The event this year has a gala theme: ''Red Carpet Affair Ð Hollywood.'' Among the events slated is Class Distinction Day on Thursday, October 1, with a movie theme for each class. Seniors will dress as characters from the film ''Hercules'' (Togas, anyone?); juniors, as hippies (''Taking Woodstock''); sophomores, as nerds (''Revenge of the Nerds''); and freshman as babies (''Baby Genius''). Staff and faculty are not getting off the hook that day, either. They will dress as their favorite movie character. Bean bag and penny jar contests will be held during lunch breaks. The fun continues on Friday, October 2, when students will be color-coordinated by class: seniors (blue, gold and white), juniors (blue and white), sophomores (blue), and freshmen (white). Faculty and staff will wear PHS sports uniforms.
