Angels on Assignment was formed to support families and children dealing with serious illness. This organization has raised approximately $500,000 and served hundreds of local residents.
Angels on Assignment is a volunteer organization dedicated to helping children by providing emotional support with "fun days away from illness" and working with local charities.
Camp Quality is one such charity. "Camp Q" is also a non-profit organization that is committed to bringing hope and happiness to every child living with cancer, to their families and to communities through ongoing quality recreational, educational, hospital and financial support programs.
Camp Quality passionately believes that the power of fun helps children and their families overcome the challenges that cancer brings. Fun flows through everything they do, from their programs to their philosophies. Camp Q provides fun therapy for every child living with cancer and to their families.
Camp Q is a summer camping experience and year-round support program for children with cancer. Many difficult physical and emotional challenges face a child and his or her family, when battling cancer. Camp Quality summer camps have developed an important type of "therapy". They like to call it Smile Therapy.
