Peotone School Board Approves Working Cash Bond
» Lynn Dill - Peotone Vedette - 10.23.08

The Peotone school board approved a $2.4 million working cash fund bond at its October 20 meeting.

Saying that the bonds will be paid by year's end, Superintendent Kevin Carey said, "The bonds give us more revenue without raising taxes."

The board approved an upgrade to Power School Premier student management software at a cost that will not exceed $20,000. The new software will help the district with student attendance, schedules, grade posting and other student management areas.

The board also approved an annual hazardous stop resolution for the Fourth and Crawford St. intersection that allows the district to provide transportation for students in this area. The intersection, which is east of the tracks, has a stop sign on 4th, but not on Crawford St.

Biddy Basketball, Good News Club, Peotone Traveling Devils and Renee Millin Counseling, received approval to use school facilities.
