Manteno Township Board will meet on Wednesday, July 9, at 7:30 p.m., at the Township office - 1030 Boudreau Road. All township residents are welcome to attend.
Movies in the Park - "Despicable Me 2"
Pack up the gang and head on over to Manteno's Legacy Park for Movies in the Park! Friday, July 11, features "Despicable Me 2" and is sponsored by Bunge. The event begins at 7:30 p.m., with children's activities and a concession stand, while the movie will be featured at dusk.
Bring everyone out for a night under the stars! Lawn seating is available; please bring blankets and lawn chairs. The event is free.
Senior Safety Program
Seniors are invited to the Manteno Police Safety Program on Tuesday, July 15, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Leo Hassett Community Center - 211 N. Main. The event features a variety of senior-related topics, plus a coffee hour. The program is complimentary and open to all Manteno seniors.

Conrad in Peotone, on Thursday, July 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Senior Assistance staff can help residents receive a refund and enroll them in the Benefit Access Application program (formerly Circuit Breaker) if a senior or disabled.
30th Antique Farm and Tractor Show
Area residents are invited to an old fashioned good time at the 30th annual Antique Farm and Tractor Show, July 11, 12, and 13, at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point. Gates open at 8 a.m. Admission is $5 (15 years and under are free with a paid adult). There is plenty of free parking.
The event features fun for all ages: Children's activities, a flea market, concessions, chainsaw carvers, the Parade of Power, an antique tractor pull, plus a pork chop dinner, and so much more.

Party in the Park
Join friends and neighbors in Manteno on July 3 for the Party in the Park at Legacy Park! The event has fun for the entire family and features a variety of great entertainment, food vendors, a beer tent and even the Manteno Cruise Night! Be sure to visit the KidZone for bounce houses, face painting, clowns and a three-on-three basketball tournament. The event will kick-off at 5 p.m. and include fireworks over Lake Manteno at dusk. Legacy Park is at 1725 N. Maple Street, Manteno.

Thee Olde Time Farm Show
Area residents are invited to the 38th annual Thee Olde Time Farm Show, July 4 - 6, at Perry Farm Park on Kennedy Drive in Bourbonnais.
The event includes David Bradley collections, saw mill, farm exhibits, Cushman Schooter exhibit, antique tractors, steam engines, antique gas engines, weed wacker pulls, kids tractor pulls, a barrel train ride, plus a food court, and a John Deere grill raffle.
A consignment auction will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Tickets are $5 for adults or $3 for seniors and children five - 12 years of age who are accompanied by an adult.

KVTA Presents "1776"
Come celebrate the Fourth of July where it all began, when Kankakee Valley Theatre Association presents special performances of "1776" on Saturday, July 5, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, July 6, at 2 p.m., at the Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School Auditorium - 700 W. North Street in Bradley.The musical is based on events surrounding the signing of theDeclaration of Independence.

Out of respect for cast members and the audience, children under the age of three are not permitted at performances. All tickets are $17.76. Summer Concert Series Under the Stars
Fieldstone Credit Union presents the Summer Concert Series Under the stars, which has become a family tradition for many! Each Tuesday in July, at 7 p.m., residents will be entertained by some of the very best local and Chicagoland entertainers, at Perry Farm Park - 459 N. Kennedy Drive in Bourbonnais.
The schedule includes: July 8 - Lupe Carroll - Soul and Acoustic, July 15 - Kings of Dixieland - Dixieland Jazz, July 22 - Greg Schneider Band - Country and Southern Rock, and July 29 - Everyday People, featuring Misti Kohl - Rhythm and Blues.
