Steger-South Chicago Heights Library events and programs

Tuesday, August 19

10:30 a.m. - Storytime and Craft: Join them for a story and then a craft, designed for children four to six years old.

Noon - Potluck and Movie: This program is at Lou Sherman Community Center, 3501 Hopkins Avenue, Steger. Feel free to bring whatever dish you're proud of to share and enjoy a great film. The movie is "Last Vegas."

6:30 p.m. - Mystery Book Discussion: Enjoy a good mystery? Join the mystery book discussion. Be sure to call to register and receive a copy of what they're reading. This month's book is "The Cuckoo's Calling," by Robert Galbraith.

Wednesday, August 20

Noon - Knit and Visit: Designed for knitters who want to get together to stitch and visit. Free and open to the public. Sit back, relax, and chat.

Thursday, August 21

10:30 a.m. - Toddlertime: Children two to four years old are invited to come out for stories, songs, and fun.

Noon - Knit and Visit

Saturday, August 23

1 p.m. - DIY Bodycare Essentials: Learn how to make your own body care supplies from natural ingredients. Prairie Godmothers will visit the library to teach everything needed to create healthy essentials to look your best.
