Air Force Airman Bridgette K. Young graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

She is the daughter of Melanie McCormick of Cedar Lake, Ind., and granddaughter Marilyn Young of Park Forest. She is a 2011 graduate of Crete-Monee High School.
