Black History Month at PSC
Prairie State College is hosting several events in February, in celebration of Black History Month. All events will be held on the college's main campus, located at 202 S. Halsted Street in Chicago Heights.
The Protege Program is sponsoring a Poetry Showcase in the Cafe, from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, February 16.
The 24th annual Jazz Fest, sponsored by the Music Department, will be at 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 17, in the Conference Center Auditorium. Tickets are available in the Business Office before the concert, or at the door on February 17. The cost is $15 for the general public or $10 for students and senior citizens.
A Vendor Fair, sponsored by the Office of Student Life and Multicultural Affairs, is being held in the Atrium from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, February 20 and Tuesday, February 21. For more information contact Esther Pacheco 708-709-3503 or e-mail epacheco@prairiestate.edu.
The Eighth Annual PSC Idol Contest is from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, February 23. in the Conference Center Auditorium. It is sponsored by the Black Student Union.
