Bloom defeats Kankakee

In its final regular season game, Bloom Township beat Kankakee 47-32 in a Southland Athletic Conference game.

The Blazing Trojans jumped to a 19-9 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, Bloom outscored the Kays 5-2 in a defensive period for a 24-11 advantage at the half.

The Blazing Trojans held the Kays to 11 field goals in 54 tries.

Bria Gaines topped the Bloom attack with another double double. The junior center had 17 points and 11 rebounds. Katherine Strong had 15 points, three assists and three steals.

Tatiana Perry had six points, seven rebounds and three steals, while Breanna Perry tossed in five points and four assists.

The Blazing Trojans are 16-8 and 7-3 in the SAC.
