PSC Speech Team Members Win Several Awards

The Prairie State College (PSC) speech team brought home several individual awards from a recent tournament hosted by College of DuPage.

Adrianna Carr of Park Forest received fourth place for varsity prose and fifth place for novice informative; Kelli Campbell of Homewood received fourth place for varsity persuasion; Nick Williams of Homewood received sixth place for novice persuasion; and Angela Parrish of Olympia Fields was named tournament champion for novice persuasion. Parrish also received second place for novice poetry. Also competing in the tournament was Elizabeth Rossi of Crete. The team was coached by PSC Professors Ed Schwarz, David Naze, and Elighie Wilson.

"Coming back from winter break means getting back to competition by shaking the rust off a little bit," said Naze. "Our students showed they were ready to get back into competition, and did so with a splash," said Naze.
