Village President Makes Appointments

After an executive closed session on Monday, May 11, Beecher Village President Paul Lohmann made appointments to various committees after the board trustees' approval.


There are six board committees and each committee has a chairperson.


Chairpersons for each of the committees are as follows:


-Finance and Administration - Brian Cleary;


-Public Safety - Ron Kuhlman;

-Streets and Alleys - Greg Szymanski;


-Sewer and Water - Joe Gardner;


-Public Buildings and Properties, Parks and Recreation - Scott Wehling;


-Planning, Building and Zoning - Gayle Ahrendt.

Appointed to the position of Village President Pro-Tem is Scott Wehling.


Hired as Village Administrator and Zoning Administrator is Robert Barber. Hired as Village Clerk is Janett Conner. Hired as Chief of Police is Jeff Weissgerber. Hired as Public Works Superintendent is Harold ''Bud'' Cowger. Hired as Planning and Zoning Commission Secretary and Economic Development Coordinator is Marcy Meyer.


Appointed as Emergency Services Disastor Agency (ESDA) Coordinator is Lt. Rick Emerson. Independent Inspection Services, Inc. is appointed to do building inspection services for the village. Tom Knuth is appointed as village prosecutor. Austgen and Kuiper, P.C. is appointed as village corporate counsel.


Nelson Collins is appointed as village treasurer. Julie Riechers is appointed at village deputy treasurer and code enforcement officer. Baxter and Woodman is appointed as village engineer.


In addition, there are three commissions in the village.


The Planning and Zoning Commission is comprised of Phil Serviss (chairman), Dan Walsh, Kim Koutsky, Denis Tatgenhorst, Kevin Bouchard, Althea Machtemes and Wayne Wiechen.


The Beautification Commission is comprised of Paul Lohmann (village representative), President Harold Lattz, Vice-President Julie Riechers, Secretary Jackie Hameister, Treasurer Barb McWhorter, Sandy Lohmann, Steve Weishaar, Julie Cleary, Jean Smith and Debbie Reising.


The 4th of July Commission is comprised of Joe Gardner (village representative), Greg Szymanski (village representative), Ron Kuhlman (village representative), President Chuck Hoehn, Vice-President Jerry Meyer, Secretary Christine Szymanski, Treasurer Nelson Collins, Larry Cox, Ken Hameister, Bill Voss, Robert Barber, Steve Koehn, Greg Ohlendorf, Irene Brothers, George Obradovich, Paul Lohmann, Brad Coats, Bob Howard and Patty Meyer.
