New Lenox ad signage ordinance
New Lenox businesses could get a little boost in signage and advertising of special events and grand openings if proposed ordinance changes discussed last week are finalized.
Acknowledging that temporary signs and big balloons help to direct attention to new businesses and existing ones offering special sales, the village board is looking at revisions that might help draw more customers in. Officials said the primary goal is to help existing businesses that are struggling in the sluggish economy.
Rolling Falcons wheelchair basketball game
Show support for Lincolnway Special Recreation Association (LWSRA) Rolling Falcons by joining them on Saturday, February 13, at Lincoln-Way East High School, 201 Colorado Street, Frankfort. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
Watch the Rolling Falcons take on the Mighty Mokena Fire Department in a charity wheelchair basketball game. All proceeds will go toward the Rolling Falcons wheelchair basketball team and the cost to attend the 2010 wheelchair basketball tournaments.
