Norman Plagge
April 1, 1917 — February 11, 2012
Services were held Wednesday morning, February 15, for Norman Plagge, 94, of Beecher. Mr. Plagge died Saturday, February 11, 2012, at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights.
Born April 1, 1917, in Beecher, he was an avid car enthusiast, belonged to the Momence Auto Club for more than 40 years, enjoyed carpentry, and ran his own custom cabinet shop for many years. He also enjoyed golfing and spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Plagge is survived by his wife of 71 years, Bernice Becker Plagge; two daughters, Beverly (Butch) Younker of Beecher and Carol (Richard) Adamson of Mt. Prospect; three grandchildren, Cindi Weishaar, Sue Vetter and Stacey Adamson; and seven great-grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Jessica, Jayden, Jackie, Matthew and Tyler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bertha Plagge; a brother, Herbert; and two sisters, Irene and Clara.
The funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, February 15 at Zion Lutheran Church in Beecher, with the Rev. Ron Rock officiating. Burial was in Skyline Memorial Park in Monee. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church. Condolences may be sent to hackfuneralhome.com.
