Harry Olson Jr

Harry Emmanuel Olson Jr., 73, of Homer Glen, died Monday, February 13, 2012, at home with family at his side.

He wants to be remembered as an unconditionally pro-life husband, father, and grandfather. He thanked God daily for his Catholic Faith and the Freedom to practice it. Mr. Olson is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary V. (Mulrenin) Olson, seven children; Ginny (Steve) Thomas, Holly (Ed) Plys, Andrew (Deana) Olson, Bill (Becky) Olson, Rosary (Rich) Bowman, Katy (Brad) Moats, and Carrey (Bob) Bonda, thirty-two grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Sr. and Marie Olson, one child, seven grandchildren, four brothers-in-law; Terrence Ring, Mike O'Connor, Len Cassan, and Jack Mulrenin, three sisters-in-law, Bernie O'Connor, Dee Mulrenin, and Verna Mulrenin.

Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 16, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wilton Center. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Friday, February 17, at the church. Burial in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Arrangements under the direction of Forsythe Funeral Home in Manhattan.
