Evelyn Cellarius

Evelyn L. Cellarius, 79, of Grant Park died Friday, February 17, 2012, in Chicago Heights.

She was born May 4, 1932, in Galva. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, bowling and he work at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Grant Park, especially in the ladies aid.

Mrs. Cellarius is survived by her husband, Melvin Cellarius, whom she married on March 31, 1951; two sons, Gerald (Janet) Cellarius of Beecher and Alan (Carole) Cellarius of Waterford, Wis.; two daughters, Colleen (Michael) Johnson of Grant Park and Lisa (Mark) Larson of Fenton, Mo.; 12 grandchildren, Robbie, Nathan, Jeremy, Angie, Derrick, April, James, Joshua, Jason, David, Rachel and Jacob; eight great-grandchildren, Clayton, Addie, Aidan, Ethan, Aiden, Sean, Andrew and Martin; two step-grandchildren, Andrew and Martin; a brother, Gene Keeler; and a sister, Ida Yatzack.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Novelle Learned Keeler, and three brothers, Dan, Bud and Bob.

The funeral was conducted February 20 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Grant Park, with the Rev. Reinhardt Korn officiating. Burial was in St. Paul's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
