ROCKFORD – Rockford’s Ohaze Shalom Synagogue was defaced with graffiti including a swastika, a Christian cross and an ethnic slur.

The graffiti was discovered Tuesday morning on the doors of the Jewish Federation of Greater Rockford, which rents office space in the building.

Union members had been working without a contract since Feb. 7. A union statement said contract materials would be distributed for a membership vote. AT&T said in a statement details would not be discussed until workers have time to consider the offer.
