Chef Tony Scruggs from Grant Park was a recent contestant on Masterchef on the Food Network. He placed 16th among the 100 contestants. Later, he came to all of the Manteno High School foods classes to demonstrate how to make steak, using his special seasoning and an Asiago Asparagus Frittata. The students loved it. They even cleaned up the crumbs!!! He talked about his experience on Masterchef and his passion for cooking. He was very inspirational and encouraged the students to follow their passion for cooking!
